cat prepared to pounce onto my rodent tongue) (6) i collect the petals (7) (between quiet poet
fingers) (8) slip them beneath (9) your tongue (10) (with youth boy
eyes and ease of surgeon sliding scalpel) (11) so you always (12) (until the stars are
claimed as colonies) (12) speak so sweetly (13) (young girl's laugh tears
trailing along flower (14) to me. to leaf
