a romanceA Poem by Steeveni don't know...a woman and a treeI have seen her
broken body Her naked smile Tasted her pear
dreams And muttered
nightmares Felt sighs that
tore her seams And the delicate
lace dress she wore Heard hidden
desires sleeping beneath her breath And the burning
of her heart’s fire I have seen her
hidden secrets Slumped silently
in the shadows of her laugh lines Tasted the long
blissful kiss of her eyes And the cabernet
notes of her song Felt the flutter
of fingers like butterflies And the rainbow
of their coats Heard confessions
that hung like art And the bell of
lust rung I have sung in
gusty whispers Harmony to her
manic vespers Through
chlorophyll teeth Caressed the
knots of her spine I know there’s
times she wished I was a pine Though either way
it’s evident No accident will
have her see © 2012 Steeven |
