Prodigal again

Prodigal again

A Poem by Chuck
"

When I have it all, why isn't it enough

"

I wanted the riches,

I wanted the fun.

I took off,

The prodigal son.

I had a ball

I spent it all

The fun was done

The food was gone.

I went home

to try to eat

My Father saw me

And ran to meet.

Once again fed

Ad home with Dad

All was there

To make one glad

So why do I choose

With all that I have

To venture back out

To feed the pigs snout

My life has issues

Challenges and stress

But why do I choose

To return to that mess

The love of my Dad

My life is whole

But cause I’m alone

I return to the hole

I want to calm

That tender pain

I need to be home

With my Father again

Help me please

Not to go where I’ve been

Help me not

To be the prodigal again.
