End of the day

End of the day

A Poem by Chuck
"

Observations while waiting for the sunset on the beach.

"

End of the day

Rotted out posts

Sitting like ghosts,

From a long forgotten pier.

Waves rolling in,

Again and again,

Crashing upon the shore.

Shadowed small dents

Of walkers footprints,

Contained on the sandy beach.

Couples walk by

Romance in their eyes,

Sharing their day of love.

Other couples sitting,

Watching and waiting,

On the eve’s colorful display.

Gulls floating round

Soaring oer the ground,

Add to the gentle scene.

The sky very bright,

A cloudless night,

Promises we’ll see the sunset.

The sun drops lower

The weather is colder,

The show nearly ready to start.

The final addition,

Me and my mission,

To capture the beauty tonight.

You already know it,

The photographer poet,

Out seeking beauty again.

To find in my lens

And write with my pen,

The wonder of life tonight.

You are a photographer in more ways than one! You have captured the scene with your words ...I see and feel it. Those last 3 stanzas clench it!

You just escorted me to my many visits to special spots on the New England coast. Thank you! Will you put some photos on your site?!!
