Young woman at the water's edge

Young woman at the water's edge

A Poem by Chuck
"

Photographer, poet and observer

"

Young woman sitting at the water’s edge,

Quietly lost in thought.

Her mind looks to be miles away,

Wrestling with what happened.

Sitting alone, she wants it that way,

She has to walk through this.

Is it a mate, a date, a family member,

A breakup, a mix-up or a loss?

Whatever it is, I can see from here,

The pain she is enduring.

Now the head off, our paths have crossed,

Though we never met.

A photographer, poet and observer,

And the young woman at the water’s edge.

I really like the way you blend your photography, your imagination and caring, and your way with words to come together in verbal video. Many would see her, take a picture and go on to the next subject. You took the time to feel for her and think of what her troubles might be...compassionate soul you must be, and of course, a poet!
