Forested PathA Poem by StarryNightsHidden alone by a world of green, An invisible entity that walks free Undetected and overlooked Small, insignificant, nothing compared to the big world Small against trees And microscopic against mountains Who would notice such a thing? Dark and damned, left alone with no guardian angel.
By becoming one with nature, do we lose ourselves? As fear slowly fades and paranoia leaves? What happens when we let our guards down, leave our backs turned?
The survival rate changes, the soul undergoing metamorphosis A dangerous pull leads the pathway to fate Death; rescue; freedom; harmony; lost; alone; scared;
But maybe it becomes something else entirely. The hope that dangers and fears are no longer a problem Hope that with each footstep brings another step towards being free
Then there's the flip. A child of the world, running away Has yet to grasp the reins of life With no one who cares, with no one to notice Is there a wonder this child ran away? A small little thing that society never noticed Takes a step to getting out and losing their self
Trees that stand up to the sky Surrounded by a green camouflage A river nearby giving navigation No matter how far, it leads the way; Far from society, and more into the world Stay or go, each step Pause or run, each hesitation Only two voices to keep you alive © 2011 StarryNights |
