Secrets of Deception

Secrets of Deception

A Poem by StarryNights

Burning inside, a piece of mind

A fiery deception to be never be told

Screaming on the inside

A golden glow on the edge of lies

Hidden away, a secret

Like a photo in a locket

Hidden away, a secret

Like a treasure buried in the sand

Group of lies

Single hidden truths

To tell or not to tell

A question that's always wondered

To be safe, maybe it is to not say

To be vulnerable, a string starts to unravel

Deceptions could fade

Answers to questions to quickly evade

So maybe it's better, to hide it all away

Maybe it's easier to just stay this way
