Double StandardsA Poem by StarryNights
Double standards rule the bias
Contradict then recklessly react Shut me up and slam me down Act like you're perfect and work that angle Behind that face is the truth I see Only you're fooling everyone else around town You're fair - but you're not You're loving - to someone else Play your games, learn new tricks Sweep me in before the escape Live your life in a closed off bubble So do things that way, do things your way This time around I could care less Lies and slander shed on anger and hate Tears don't exist in this everlasting state Give up the game before it's lost today Again and Again is a cycle that never ends Told once, told twice, told forever now Nothing ever changes, nothing ever will I've done my best - So what about you? Like spoiled food, where's the reverse? Thrown in the garbage this just won't work © 2010 StarryNightsReviews
