Rainbow Dragons

Rainbow Dragons

A Poem by Starrweaver
"

This was one of my poems from a while back...took me some time to get it right. It's another old one but it's not bad.

"

Deep blue and indigo scales glitter in the sunlight,

Golden yellow and pale violet each dragon is one color,

From the tips of their wings, to their tails end,

Each one is an artist, a builder of rainbows...

They collect the colors and store them in the clouds,

Waiting for the time for a rainbow to be made,

They drink up the colors til their bellies bulge,

They spin out colored threads of smoke into the air,

The sky throbs, alive with color, mist and dragon song,

They spin until all their color stores are gone.

Tired they rest and view their work, well pleased.

A rainbow bridge hung above the earth's vivid green.
