Winter Evening
The storm is growing as the North wind howls,
Icy cold chills me though I sit by the fire,
Snowflakes are falling and clinging to everything.
I listen to the sudden silence,
All is calm, the snow glistens in the moonlight,
As I watch, Jack Frost finishes painting my window.
Dec. 8, 1985
The Sea Beneath the sea a land of stone,
Where coins and pearls lay scattered,
A kingdom great, so grand and bold,
Now lays still and empty beneath the waves.

Mid-Summer's Eve
The moon sails slowly into a misty haze, Shadows stir and move to a dance of their own, The wind whispers to the trees secrets in the night, As the leaves all quiver in sheer delight. June 22, 1992
