Three short poems

Three short poems

A Poem by Starrweaver
"

These are small, short poems that are from different times. I chose to put them together rather than separate due to being so short.

"

Winter Evening

The storm is growing as the North wind howls,
Icy cold chills me though I sit by the fire,
Snowflakes are falling and clinging to everything.
I listen to the sudden silence,
All is calm, the snow glistens in the moonlight,
As I watch, Jack Frost finishes painting my window.

The Sea

Beneath the sea a land of stone,
Where coins and pearls lay scattered,
A kingdom great, so grand and bold,
Now lays still and empty beneath the waves.

Mid-Summer's Eve

The moon sails slowly into a misty haze,
Shadows stir and move to a dance of their own,
The wind whispers to the trees secrets in the night,
As the leaves all quiver in sheer delight.

These are great poems full of descriptive imagery and wonderful wording. Short, simple and sweet. I really like them. I especially loved the first poem "Winter Evening" the line "Jack Frost finishes painting my window". It sounds wondrous, childish yet creative and inspired. Well done.
