RepeatA Poem by QuinnWhen I’m drunk does it show I’m trapped or too free? Because when I’m drunk I don’t know if it’s me When I drink I am alive, I am relieved But is that feeling true, or just perceived? When I’m drinking I know I do some things Things I will regret, that come with many strings When I’m hung over it usually comes back Hits me like the headache, a train on a track When I’m on the come down I realise the mess I realise how often I must have said yes When I’m sober I think about what I’ve done I swear I won’t have another single one When I have a bottle or I’m given one I think, what could go wrong? Just a little fun
