I think it's a wonderful poem about those people that keeps trying to be strong and act as posts for their loved ones, despite they themselves needing posts to keep them up, too. You definitely captured the conflicts and emotions that a person like that feels. The way they keep standing up, up, up just to provide support; and the way they even go as far as neglcting themselves just to help others. I loved the ending; the way that the post-person is even shown guilty and applogizes for the 'fall,' despite the person not really owing others an apology. Isn't that what we all feel, how we act, when we think we've failed people? I've definitely felt this a lot of times, and I think you've captured the feelings perfectly.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read and for the kind words in the review x
i can really relate to this, the tone and pace compliment the thought process brilliantly and the repetitions works well the message. a really good job x
It's not our responsibility to care for the mental stability of others, no matter how much we try and justify that it is. We must all rely on each other equally, without obligation.
I love the repetition of your work! It's clear, but detailed.

Nice transition from being the strong to the one who needs support. Sometimes when we assume roles in a relationship, it can be difficult to switch them. I really enjoyed the flow of the poem. Very well crafted.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I wasn't sure about the flow so thank you very much. x
We all need somebody. We can't be that shoulder for all. Friends see that - real friends do anyway and they take over the role of shoulder et al. Much like the way the lead duck will drop back and be replaced in flight by another and another in the 'V' formation - all for the good of the flock.
The transitions in this are powerful. Well penned Zoe.
