Books at the endA Poem by QuinnI've just finished my gcse's and I have all my books. So many people are burning or throwing them and I can't bring myself to do that. (The picture is of all of my books)Two years gone Forged in writing Page after page Line after line All the knowledge All the facts Many will just throw Or burn Or shred Although our heads Hold the information Sometimes the page Does it better Sometimes you need The torn The tattered books Two years gone Forged in writing Page after page Line after line I want see them go I don’t have room But I just can't Let them burn Let them die Do I keep them It’ll take space Pass them on And spread knowledge Spread the facts Maybe that’s what What I should do Two years gone Forged in writing Page after page Line after line These books hold more Than you could Ever truly dream Not just the facts Not just the work But the memories The ink The pencil A drop of acid A tear from a test It holds so much more Two years gone Forged in writing Page after page Line after line I'll just keep them Keep them safe Hold the knowledge And the facts Well All bar one REAL can burn
