Teach me

Teach me

A Poem by Quinn

We are told to look after

To cherish and care

We are taught about manners

And how to use stairs

We learn our numbers

And our ABCs

We learn to say sorry and thank you

And even pretty please

But we don’t get taught about love

Not in the real way

We are told it’s for families and best friends

But we aren’t told what to say

So I want you to teach me

However you really want

Tell me your stories

How to entail and flaunt

Remind me of the tears

The way it could just end

But please don’t let that happen

Because you are more than just a friend

Thank you very much x
Great beginning and great imagery. Also great insight and something we don't often think about.
