Red Ribbons

Red Ribbons

A Poem by Constellation

She had red ribbons
Flying in her hair
They came out of her pockets
Flying through the air
She had them hidden
A secret no one dared
A ragged piece of ribbon
No one seemed to care
She held it near to her heart
A thing from her past
A flash of memory
Like the only thing she had
A quiet goodbye
The only thing that had last
A sweet kiss on the head
A missed goodnight
To remind her in the end
Everything was all right

I don't know why i got carried away.
Mostly of the time we don't value the things we have until we lost it. Especially when we don't realized they can be gone or be taken away. Our past will surely remind us how we used to be as well as it is also our gauge if we had out grown our old self.

"No one seems to care"
i thought they dont, but im so selfish way back then and self centered person. Wow im writing what i really feel about this poem.

I can't sugar coat the reality of life but to say my review haha. I like your poem i feel like iam that teenager looking back at the an old love story untold and written.

So simple and so classic..yet so unique.

Bits and pieces of reality that we can never escape how well we run away.
