DreamingA Poem by StarfruitanimalIt was, in the distance A sector of a single dream. Bittersweet and dissident, Now she’s in the inbetween. She’s frugal with her clarity, Sandbar is long and wide Wishes she was the ocean, Refreshing winds would move her tide. Reality’s a reverie A pigmented depiction of what you think you see. She stares transfixed into the sea And with blind eyes waits, to be released. As black sands melt into the water Like the tic of time, its constant. The sea longingly looks back at her, A pixilated revenant. With bright eyes she woke up, Another day fell beneath her feet. It was tangible, And tender, Just another reverie. © 2012 StarfruitanimalFeatured Review
