# 58 Shadows

# 58 Shadows

A Poem by Atlas Jones
"

Anxiety can't get me if I'm a faster runner than it is.

"

Shadows,Shadows on my wall

Shadows, Shadows in the hall

The shadows they are everywhere

Going to where no other would dare

Shadows,Shadows they follow me

Shadows,Shadows that float on the breeze

They creep in and get under my skin

Sometimes I’m tempted to let them in

Shadows,Shadows

fears and anxieties are what they are

Shadows,Shadows those I see are so bizarre

The darkness it hurts more than they know

But if I value my dignity or pride I can’t let it show

Shadows,Shadows killing my hearts desires

Shadows,Shadows

the exact opposite of a raging fire

They nip at my heart and my heels

They deliver pain so real

Shadows,Shadows so unfair

Shadows,Shadows

how they make me despair

But for it all that I cannot let them in

For if I do I let them win

Shadows,Shadows on my walls

One by one they begin to fall

Anxiety is a b***h even in its low grade form. What is described here goes way beyond that.
