#40 She who defies the stars

#40 She who defies the stars

A Poem by Atlas Jones
"

I like to do extra emphasis, I think it makes it look cool both in style and in the overall appearance of the poem.

"

The easy route is always the fastest one

But it is not always the best

That much I am sure she who defies the stars can tell you

If you always take the easy route she said

You may never get anywhere interesting

If you always take the easy route she said

Than you may never see anything or do anything interesting

Still

she giggles

maybe you will

who I am I to know

I can only know

What I have experienced

I have seen eagles fly

And young men die

I have seen love lost

And the melting of a heart of frost

I have seen this world turn

And I have seen some others burn

I have held a still beating heart

And of life I know there are much worse parts

So take your “easy” path and see where it leads

But trust me it is far less interesting though filled with trees

For you will never get to experience what I and so few brave others have

I have seen the stars

I have loved the stars

I have hated the stars

I have fought the stars and

I

Have

Defied them

I have bled the stars

And I became a part of them

So yes the other path hurts

But I tend to think

She said

That it is also

Much

Much

More

Interesting
