God or Girl

God or Girl

A Poem by Paige Pino

Do you believe that I am a god, you ask me
Does it matter, I reply
I believe that your kisses are my undoing
That your voice makes flowers bloom
I believe that you're hand was made to fit in mine
And I cannot sleep without your arms around me
I believe that you have the night sky mapped across your skin
and each star burns when I trace it with my finger tips
I believe that I might have imagined you
But you're real enough for now
Because god or girl, it doesn't matter
I worship you, I tremble at your touch
And every breath in your presence is a blessing
And every day I pray for more

Such a beautiful poem! I like how you've conveyed feeling through such wonderful imagery all throughout the poem. The first line is really engaging and I think is effective in starting the poem off. The last line too I think is effective - it seems to solidify this idea of never ending love.

Just one small thing that I have noticed if you don't mind me pointing out - You have used "you're" instead of "your" in the 5th line. I know this was not intentional, but I just thought I'd point it out :)
