Stardust and War

Stardust and War

A Poem by Paige Pino

This universe is a battleground of my own design
I have weaved it out of stardust and war
I breathed life into every planet and sun and soul
Combat is waged on the surface of this delicate parchment
And blood and ink spill, mingled across pages
I bleed endlessly
When I’m here, my tears could fill an ocean
It’s here that I face my demons
It’s here that I crown them
It’s here that I make my demons
And it is in this ocean that I drown them
