The Dead OneA Poem by StarcrosserAditiWell, once you are dead, it's all said, done and happened
You
Yes you You were there That night When I was preparing for the final ritual You saw me through the window You saw what I was going to do But you didn't yelled Your eyebrows didn't shrugged Your expression didn't change Of course I am not disappointed I didn't want you to stop me After all it was solely my choice I didn't announced it to the world So I expected no interruptions But there you were Seeing me tangling myself And not doing anything about it May be I didn't think of you When i was getting ready for this But during pushing the table down I definitely thought of you And your dimensionless words You called yourself my friend You said you had my back But may be you didn't realize That you were the only one In my nonfictional friend list I never asked you to give me false hope I never even asked you to pretend But you did it any way Perhaps now you are standing at my funeral Acting like you never knew me And trust me, you never did Just like rest of the people May be if I hadn't seen you that day I would have thought that You would be giving a damn And wishing that you could have saved me But I am glad that I am gone knowing the truth May be u didn't care but now you do Or may be you still don't How does it matter I can never know now As I am the dead one... © 2017 StarcrosserAditi |
