Wonderland

Wonderland

A Poem by Star

down the rabbit hole
and back to Wonderland
through the forest
Alice runs
but never escapes.

instead,
dark clouds fog her mind
and her sanity
slips away
every last trace of it
vanishes from her fingertips
into thin air.

panicking,
she feels her breath
being slowly drained from her
while all the surrounding faces
melt like burning candles

the sky fades to black
and crimson drops of blood
start pouring from the sky
slowly disintegrating the world
Alice once knew
as her reality

tree branches that used to guard her
now reach up and away
twisting, turning within the stars
but only to come back down
strangling poor Alice with their thorns
and dragging her down below the surface
to be buried alive in her nightmares.

I love this. Fabulous imagery.
I've written a piece called "Wonderland my foot", It's ok but nothing along the lines you've written.

Hello. It seems as if you have stumbled across a 14 year old Skyrim geek who is slowly succumbing to her obsessions over anime and Tumblr. Either that, or you probably found me from dA or PMC. If so, .. more..
