Olympic TrackA Poem by StarSandwichI'll remember that kiss we sheared. Under the blossom just after the track. You claimed me as your prize, as I just glared. So I will wait for the day you finally come back. An Olympic winner he'll be, I'm sure he'll go all the way. I will wait, but I will never make him stay. Covering the green, that lies in its path. I stand and watch, just trying not to blink. His sprint so graceful, the others now his wrath. An Olympic winner he'll be, I'm sure he'll go all the way. I will wait, but I will never make him stay. They say He'll be a star, he could win gold. A runner and so proud, an owner of the sport. He shows no mercy and stands so bold. I'll wave good bye, as he leaves for port. An Olympic winner he'll be, I'm sure he'll go all the way. I will wait, I will never make him stay. He left as the blossom fell, the floor turning pink. I know he'll do great, I can see he'll be a star. I will be watching, never able to blink. I've been watch him all my life now we are so far. An Olympic winner he'll be, I'm sure he'll go all the way. I will wait, but I will never make him stay. I know what we had, started at a running meet. Our memories out on the running track. I know some day we will hopefully greet. Just to know we have each others backs. An Olympic winner he'll be, I'm sure he'll go all the way. I will wait, but I will never make him stay. His heart is set on winning the Olympic Gold. That's why he acts so bold. He says I'll be his prize, when he comes back. But only when, he wins the Olympic Track. An Olympic winner he'll be, I'm sure he'll go all the way. I will wait, but I will never make him stay. So hopefully lets run together again.
