We kissed in the stable.

We kissed in the stable.

A Poem by StarSandwich

Forced to stay inside,
I was only seven.
When I looked outside,
It was like heaven.

From my open window,
I watched you play.
With the other stable boy,
you all rolled in the hay.

I remember that summer,
we became friends.
You was the one,
who let me feed the hens.

Your just a stable hand,
I'm just a rich girl.
Your just a poor boy,
who used to watch me twirl.

Just a poor boy,
someone I loathed.
But I know right now,
I wish you was my betrothed.

We kissed in the stable,
wearing no shoes.
No one knew,
no one had a clue.

I'm just a rich girl,
who walked out your life.
But never again,
I know now I'll be your wife.

So now I stand before you,
and hope that you hear.
I love you,
and will forever my dear.
