The Finding Out

The Finding Out

A Poem by Delilah Dunn
"

Written 11/24/2008...about two and a half days after.

"

parts of me are illuminating

like fiber optic fingers

flashing colors dancing in the dark

for there is life on the inside now

and it is warm

like late summer sunsets

that lovingly fill my lungs

and caress the skin they radiate against

This is beautiful. A quiet, subtle fluttering of knowledge. One that only an expectant mother can understand. At least that is what I hope this is about.
"like fiber optic fingers", what a line! That's so wonderful. It sends surges of giddiness through me, as I've been there before and that is EXACTLY what it is like. Nicely done. I liked it very much. :)

I love this! You provide beautiful images that appeal to the reader's own senses; there are many intricate details here without "wordiness". Thanks for sharing this.
