Just a lie

Just a lie

A Poem by Veronica
"

a little poem about self harm

"
Just a cut.
Just one.
"What's that on your arm?"
"Just a scratch.
I fell."
A lie.

"Why are the band-aids all over your arms?"
"oh my cat cut me."
Just another lie.

Except, it's funny. It's not just another lie.
It's a cycle, of what you have been through, what you are going through, and what others think of you.
Rinse. wash. repeat.
