Never Ending BattleA Poem by SongofSoulSits a never ending battlea sigh. a forlorn gasp. lips part oh so slightly and air flies out. -sigh- her shoulders drop just a degree more then her usual slouched position. -sigh- her head hangs lower. -sigh- her eyes grey and down cast with the beginnings of what look like beautiful stars peeking through a swirling thunder cloud. -sigh- unfortunately looks are deceiving. they are tears glittering in the light shining on the downcast face, just before her hair falls. hiding the storm about to burst. -sigh- wind in the trees. -sob- thunder in the far distance rolls. -scream- thunder booming overhead splitting the sky in two. The clouds burst and the rain falls. -sob- distant thunder rolls. rain. tears. is there a difference? full of salt or sweet. fall faster, as big wet drops. they slowly subside. -sob- the storm rolls on. -sigh- winds blow through the trees and stop. she looks up with red rimmed, storm grey eyes. this storm is over but more will come. they always do. -sigh- she walks on down the silent grey street. that is her life. a never ending walk. only breaking when the inner battle, the inner storm becomes too much and leaks out. but never, does anyone hear. never, does anyone see. never, does anyone care. her battle is never ending. © 2011 SongofSoulSAuthor's Note
