If We Were All Little ChildrenA Poem by SongofSoulSthis poem is for my two best friends I have known since childhoodIf we were all little children and the playset was waitin I'd race you to the swings end up trippin and holdin my knee with a new owwie you would double back kneel down and plant a big kiss that were usually reserved for puppies and daddies with booboos gone we resume our play swing as high as the sky eyes closed and pretend we are birds Juice boxes are fancy when pinkies fingers are raised in our little princess tea parties and popsicals though melty are the best in the world ~~~ If we were all little children Our baking is done the natural way with lil chubby fingers mixing dirt from mommy's garden and water from the hose we make mudpies with grass clippings flowers and bugs as toppings they bake in the summer sun and we run around in the hose making it rain even though we can see the sun ~~~ If we were all little children I would take the courage to look under your bed for monsters I would protet you from the big kids I would share my cookie with you I would kiss away your owwies If we were all little children I would be your best friend just like I am now © 2011 SongofSoulSAuthor's Note
