... i almost swore off writing ... this is the first i wrote since claiming to be done ... i guess you can never just quit something that flows trough your veins

You've been haunting me

with your eyes

and that smile

You're everywhere

and nowhere

I hear your laugh

when I'm all alone

walking down the street

fog creeping in

small swirls falling over the grass

and dead brown leaves

I hear footsteps behind me

You're haunting me

won't leave me alone

the steps fall in rhythm with mine

but I look back

and there's no one there

You're haunting me

teasing me

a floating phantom

on the edges of my mind

You're haunting me

Or

Am I haunting you?

I pinch my arm

No I'm awake

this can't be a dream

the footsteps suddenly quicken

I look back

a shadow flits on the edge of my vision

I turn

there it goes

look again

disappear

You're haunting me

a flitting phantom

on the edge of my vision

I hold my head

screaming

GO AWAY!!

You're haunting me

the steps are right behind me

I can't move

the fog swirls capturing me

You're haunting me

tears stream down my face

I feel your cold fingers creep up my spine

Shivers uncontrolled

Why,

Why do you haunt me

breathing in my ear

One day you'll be mine
