Rememberance

Rememberance

A Poem by Stacie Dayton
"

Dedicated to my grandfather Arnold Tauffner *11/07/1930-12/28/2011* RIP Grandpa. You will always be remembered, loved and missed.

"
The ripples in the water have finally calmed. It is now time for the Earth to stand still. For a brief moment the solitude embraces me. Feeling you pass through me reminds me that I am not alone. The pool's reflection gives way to times of joy and sorrow. I watch lives form, grow and change. Nothing in contingent. Every aspect of one's life must come to an end because in such an event, a rebirth occurs. I can only hope to imagine what your next chapter is as your life dispersed into the air.
The ripples in the water have finally calmed. I have no more tears left to cry. These vivid memories fill me. It is a new time. What is no more cannot be changed. Embrace all we know while we have it. Bittersweet memories often flee too soon.
Live and die in the same breath. Life gives up hope and courage. Death brings us anew. Paired, it is the reason we are as we are.
Just embrace and remember.
