Insatiable LullabyA Poem by Stacie Dayton
Haunting. This beautiful disaster calls me softly. Reflecting all my honest mistakes. I am screaming to myself holding on to all my pain. The liar in my eyes has an outstretched hand.
Where were you? Where were you? Falling holding onto nothing Crying to the darkened night Standing on the edge of nowhere Ready to jump withing my silence I'm losing myself to this Insatiable Lullaby Unbreakable. The eyes that tell a made up story. Infallible. Bitter sweet perfection outside. Consuming all I know within my disbelief. The consequences of abandoned hope riding high inside of me. Idealistic salvation lies only in the shattered silence. Close those eyes to break away dear child. But I hear everything...
I hear them. I hear you. I hear my desire. Insatiable Lullaby. © 2011 Stacie DaytonReviews
