Killing Us Both

Killing Us Both

A Poem by Stacey

Your sins are bouncing back on me

Wrapping and twining around

You’ve molded the way that I respond

Sold me out to be a victim

Taught me to give my all

Bend myself

Bend my will

Till its pliable and soft for whoever wants it

To be stepped on and turned inside out

To keep my mouth shut and do as I’m told

That leads me to looking up at him with wide eyes

Promising away anything to keep feeling that touch

Desperate for him to want me the way I want him

Covering for him the way I learned from you

Completing the circle you started

Renewing the process that’s killing us both
