Battle within ambition

Battle within ambition

A Poem by Samuel Robert Sands

Sometimes I just want to be alone to experience the pain until it's gone. The guilt born from squandering chances, the energy depleted from studying trances, the overreaching thanks to ambition, the praying, the hoping, the wishing. The 8 miles I ride to balance the stress...still, unable to conquer my world of less.

I really like this poem. it has great flow that builds up energy as it goes on. This is very fitting with the subject matter. My one small (tiny) critique would be look at the punctuation used. Instead of a full stop between 'trances' and 'the', I think a comma would keep the continuous flow of the poem.
