once upon a lovely land...

 

The First Test

One month has gone by.
Everything seems so beautiful with bliss.
I see a smile attached to my face every day.
Our moments freeze together with a kiss.

We serenade our bodies with music
Endure the negative feedback from the family
Together we face them holding hands
Face the world and our questionable future

Our eyes meet as we hug under the moon light
Whisper the simple words we feel in our hearts
Combine those words with the softness of our kiss
We whisper those simple words “I love you”

Two months have gone by.
For months I’ve had this smile attached
Our eyes still meet under the moon light
The beach also seems attached to us

We hug and stare out into the waves
The tranquility we see only brings us sadness
We don’t have that back home
Our relationship isn’t greatly appreciated

Hopefully our love will conquer all
We just want peace and strength
Were reaching our third month
Were reaching out third month

Ah! This is so descriptive and very well penned, the way you described the passage of first month and then the second month is really very appealing!
Also, the poem flowed very well and the closing lines gave it such a good impact!
