Secret Shame

Secret Shame

A Poem by Black Zodiac

Hello sin
Let's begin
Can't stand this game
Causes me no pain
Staring into the glass
But through it I cannot pass

We ponder each other carefully
I make my actions slowly
We have to remain a secret
I don't know if we can keep it

There are some who think we
are bad for each other
But dear, we were made to be together
Sitting on her perch above all else
Your thoughts she will impose herself
For one so condemned, how can she be so condemning?
Her voice rings in my ears, it stings

In my heart you are hidden
Because baby, you're forbidden
Your thorns scratch those who try and find you
Only by myself, you'll pull through

The less of you, the more I am desired
The more desire, the more you are required

First we need a secret void
Where in you, I'll find my joy
The devil's dwelling we both lay
For preservation, we must pray

I've kept my distance far too long
Because they figured you are wrong
All we need is more boundaries
But boundaries fall like apples off trees
