Seasons of the Sun

Seasons of the Sun

A Poem by Black Zodiac

The Fall's leaves cover Earth's battered soil
And it is cold
Because the sun is mostly in hiding
The trees shed their clothes to hide the world
But leaves crumble and blow away

So Winter sends pure, white snow
And it is colder
Because the sun is hiding
The clouds sprinkle snow to hide the world
But the snow melts away

And Earth's soiled grounds are bare
Earth's people laundered, kill, and stole its beauty
And the sun is so ashamed

So Spring washes away Earth's sins
And it is warmer
Because the sun doesn't hide so much anymore
Water is poured to clean the world
And the water dries

Summer brings the world joy
And it is hot
Because the sun doesn't hide
It shines to glorify the world
But people never change

We make the same mistakes
And the sun is so ashamed
Then it tries to cover our mistakes
When Fall comes again
