Chelsea

Chelsea

A Poem by Black Zodiac

Chelsea is not just a name
She’s a survivor, a warrior, a peacemaker, and a friend
I was almost dead
She sat there and held up my head
She brought me tools to keep me alive
Helped me through hard times so I could survive
Laughed with me like we were fools
Turned nasty s**t into jewels
We sat and talked philosophy
And we can be gossipy
But we’re just two fragile lives
Trying to make it through our hard times
I’ll be there for her in a second
She doesn’t even have to beckon
I’ll sit for hours wiping her tears
Because I know she has some valid fears
I’ll never judge or condemn her
Sweet words I’ll whisper
And though she’ll be gone in body
We’re like Clyde and Bonnie
You can never take this friendship away
We’ll be talking, filling up that ashtray
So call me at night
Call me during starlight
Call me when you’re at your best
Call me when your mind won’t rest
Call me if you’ve fallen
I’ll fly over, pick you up because I’m all in
Anything, anything you need
I’ll rush it to you like a stampede
If it means you stay gone or come back to me
I’ll support you through anything that could be
Chelsea
