Simple Things

 

It's funny how the simple things in life can bring us happiness...

 

A smile form a loved one, a friend or even a stranger.

A compliment that comes from the heart and is sincere.

A hug that warms your soul and heart.

A caress that touches you deep.

A few groceries to get you thru till next payday.

Gas in your tank to get you around town.

A phone call from an old friend, that you haven't talked to in a long time.

Being with good friends for no reason, or just hanging out together.

A rainy day after numerous weeks of sunshine.
Washing the mud off your car and seeing it shiny once more.

Letting your inner child come out and play.

Going to a workshop just for the fun of it.

Going to a park/museum on free admissions day and having a great time.

Going for a drive to nowhere in specific and enjoying what you find along the way.

Being with someone you love.

Being presented with an unexpected gift.

Getting an unexpected raise at work.

Having your health, a roof over your head.

Going to see your favorite rock star.

Being warm on a cold blistery day.

Reading your favorite author, sitting by the fireplace with a roaring fire.
Going for long walk, admiring nature around you.

Letting my muse rule the day, writing away.

Just a few of my favorite things....
