Unloved

Unloved

A Poem by Talesha

So difficult to feel the beauty
In a time like this,
Filters,surgery,a flaw-
It can never be missed.
Cellulite is bad,
Dark spots can never be a fad.
Stretch marks need to disappear,
No split ends on your hair.
Face must be be clear,
100000 followers and you're there
Iconic,idol,goddess without a care.
All the glamour and yet it is just fake.
Indeed a terrible mistake,
Eat only lettuce,never cake.
Simple and humble girls can win,
It is world with morals in a garbage bin.
Money is necessary,
So is the class,
More muscle mass,
Tight breast,firm...
What happened to natural?
To simple and sweet?
Yet the models are the ones without defeat,
So we feel ugly inside.
Only within us to retreat and hide
Noone will love us as we are,
Only if we post bikini pics afar
So sad what it's become...

I don't know dear Talesha. I believe our flaws make us special. A cool world should be of different faces and different shapes. Perfection in beauty, can lead to destroying your natural beauty. But the media pushes people to seeking more. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

I totally agree. It is a sad commentary on the ills of modern society. Unattainable beautiful can be bought for the right price. Everything fake from a persons features to their personalities. Popularity is visible in likes and high numbers. The lie has become a saintly virtue. All these things will be our downfall as human beings. Because we forget that what is real and truthful is where true beauty lies. Not in the fake and disingenuous. Thank you for sharing your art.

Cosmetic surgery, cosmetic dentistry, cosmetic life. Still, time will triumph in the end, and those who have bet the farm on the outer at the expense of the inner will be caught in the lurch.
