I find myself anticipating again,

I smile and I laugh again.

My heart once broken,

Afraid to let my thoughts be spoken.

I open my heart to love again,

Different because he is my friend.

Not sure where it this goes,

But he cares and his actions show.

Is it destiny, love or luck?

Is it my peace about to be struck?

This love is different and calm,

Last time I believed I was harmed.

Seven years later and it's the first I write,

A different man, who puts me in a different light.

The closest to feel like forever,

Even when I thought, a trini man never.

My handsome and sweet man,

The potential we have to be grand.

Mi amor and that is what I know,

Extraordinary friendship aglow.

It took seven years for me to truly feel,

A new sentiment, faith and new zeal.

So I take this step and see where it goes,
