My father and I

My father and I

A Poem by Talesha

Today I saw him
It's been the first time-
In since a year and some months...
There is was,
Aged and different,
Though I knew him to be strong,
He seemed childish,
Humble-like
Weak.
I regret the days I let my anger speak,
Give up on his love,
He's the last person I seek.
But today he hugged me
It felt so right,
He was my father..
A man of pride and might.
I realize how the years do go by
How I still love him
Couldn't stop-even if I tried
I only ask for his happiness
May the Lord be his guide,
For he deserves to enjoy life just as I.
I realize,we are only here just for a time
To spend moments and speak our minds..
I write and I cry
Because he's been here all my life
And I know little about him
and Him about I
I miss him so much
Thank God he's still here.
I hope time will give us more memories to share
