A friend of mine

I have a friend,

Two years ago we met.

He was there for me,

When I panicked,

When I would always fret.

This friend of mine,

Indeed so dear,

For in such a short time,

A mutual feeling,

For each other we care.

I will be leaving soon,

Away from my friend I will be,

Separated by the mountains,

But bounded by the sea...

Look at the moon -next to you

I will always be.

My friend Ridje,

You have been through so much..

Pain,suffering,

To the depth of my heart-

You have indeed touched.

I admire your strength...

How you handle such pain,

How you had a past-

That you view with disdain.

You have the enemies,

You have family issues,

Problems of love...

But you have the light gifted-

From your father above.

I dedicate this piece to you,

So my words will always live on.

For if there is a time we are apart,

Moments of idle and s**t talk-

Never will we have to mourn.

My dear friend,

I thank you for all you have done,

Without a doubt,

God is proud to have you as a son.
