Valentine's DayA Poem by Talesha
Last year,
He was just a stranger, A keen interest, I was innocent, Had never been kissed. I remember the night, Oh it widens my smile, He was running late, Couldn't get him off my mind. That night,he saw me differently, My hair was long and flowing, My skin in moonlight, He was groomed and glowing. Dinner was late, Chatted incessantly, It felt as he was my soul mate, I was falling, deeply with faith. We held hands, We hugged and caressed I was so happy, indeed blessed. Then he went closer to me.... I arched my chest, His lips touched mine, My Colombian love, Never would I have guessed. It was all so slow, So deep,so real, So I sit here a year later, Sad with broken zeal... For he is miles away, Afraid to speak to him, Feared to be pushed away, But one thing from that night changed, I yearn for him and without his love, I feel extraordinarily deranged.
