Sad songs

Why do we love these sad songs?

This bring tears to our eyes,

I tried to stop,

I had several tries...

But I listen to the lyrics,

I think of my love,

And I become sad,

I think of what I have and had.

But these songs make us alive,

To want to touch heaven and the sky,

To dream of having them at out side.

Sad songs brings us closer to them.

I like this poem and the last line is really good "sad songs bring us closer to them" I only have one criticism and its just personal opinion. try and break the typical rhyming couplets now and again I think it would have a really good effect. but I enjoyed it overall just break free at some point
