Affection in Question

 

I wish you could mean what you say,

 I wish I could be the one to make your day,

  I  just wonder if I have your heart,

Confused that I cared from the start.

I want to drink coffee and stay up at night,

I want to hold hands and dance in the sunlight.

But I have to wonder if you mean what you say,

Telling this to me? Or unto an array?

You say that you like me and you care,

You living up to this,indeed my fear.

Do I make your heart lurch or cause a gleam in your eye?

Do you replay our conversations and constantly smile?

I wish I knew,I hate not having to know,

You could be deception,wrapped in a bow.

To believe a man,is to believe a lie,

But your kind words and soft kisses makes me divine.

I don't give my all,but I give too much,

Your lingering hands on my waist,I yearn your touch.

To not know is the hardest thing,

Patient,but unsure what destiny will bring.

I want to believe in what you say,

Heartbreak and hurt love gets in the way.

Tell me that you care and you are willing to wait,

Assure me it's different,we share the same fate.

Deep down is it true,

You lie to me and use me as a fling,

Just as the others,just unkind,

I'm a patient girl,with a pure mind.

To not knowing is hard,

To imagine my feelings with your false regard.

Just one..you see,the picture was just an inspiration lol I see where the confusion lies..it's just a more in-depth picture than the typical "two-line" love quote.
