Lady in the WaterA Poem by Talesha“She loves the serene brutality of the ocean, loves the electric power she felt with each breath of wet, briny air.” ― Holly Black, TitheShe sluggishly strolls on the shore, Frothy mist touches her toes, Wafting sea breeze, makes her love it more, She strolls, glides and struts a pose. The massive abyss of isolation, Of doom, Where death resides, Where peace and rejuvenation abide. The waves come, the waves go, She closes her eyes, Current pulls her in slow. Soaking in salty brine, her paradise. The afternoon turns grey, She still remains, her body shimmering, Sunlight in existence? Not even a ray. Her happiness shines through. Happiness she feels, more and more slowly, When she's alone at the sea, She never feels alone. Surrounded by waters of death, she feels more comfort. There is solace in solitude, Only by the sea, It takes away her bad past, unforgotten history. She seeps deeper and more afar. Gradually she is subdued, She sees the horrid memories fade, Moments of all her live, Grim reaper conducting a raid. The oxygen decreases, Her sadness ceases, Communing with the sea, Finally, she is at a place-where she desired to be.
