The funeralA Poem by TaleshaHe is dead on the inside, for his other half has abandoned him...
The darkness engulfed him,
He reeked,he sighed. His emblem had left, not a shadow, not a companion, not a friend. Isolated and invigorated, He went closer to the bend. The river was thick and murky, He held his heart closely. He pondered of her face, He cogitated on her promised grace. But why was he alone? Why was the wedding day postponed? His black tux blended with the dirt, The decaying earthworms crawled all over his shirt. He could not see, but he felt. It was death, death was approaching. He promised her,he promised himself, Life without her,was death. The beads of dew and sweat cooled his body, But his thoughts inflamed his mind. What did he do wrong? Was he not perfect? He could only question, But there was no answer, Grieve consumed him...he contracted emotional cancer. He gave her hope, He gave her love. To her,it was not enough. She loved him, But she knew he wasn't the one. He knew,he wasn't the one. So he bathed himself in deceit and guilt He cogitated about what happened, About what could have been-in the dirty filth. He stayed at the banks for hours, Until the torrential showers, He got up and left, He knew he was dead on the inside, No love,no marriage-nothing to abide.
