Its finally happened
We're so doomed
The sun set
Kaboom

Nuclear horizon
World imploded
Desperate cry
Eroded

Melodic heatwave
Cast out the hope
Forever lost
Tight rope

World ending event
Imps so divine
Long tail spy
Evil chime

Broadcasting demise
Show stopper sight
F**k it all
No light

Cut all the corners
Split all the ties
Sow the ashes
Fertile lies

Where where was I going?
This poem of doom
Faded mind
Fear looms

I forgot my inspiration I think. I forget a lot.

I’m not an expert in poetry, but liked this, including the ending. With the state of the world we live in, I often wonder how close we are to this happening. Unsettling those thoughts, which gives credence to how the poem ended.
