Oblivion

Oblivion

A Poem by Hallow

I had a dream the other day,
A sort of vision of what just may
Be my fate if I can't resist
The voices with a twisted list.

In it, I saw the final curtain.
It was the end, I am for certain.
And what did I see, you may ask?
Something unsettling, without a mask.

Black. Nothing. A void of still.
Where absence is the only fill.
A quiet empty, always present
Shuttered windows, light unbent

There was no cold or hot
A place that time simply forgot.
I awoke, pale with wonder.
Wishing for soothing thunder.

This was inspired from a dream I had while under the influence of nighttime cough syrup. Medicine is funny.

No! You have to go to the doctor for the good stuff. Just run of the mill off brand cough syrup.
