Soylent Green

Soylent Green

A Poem by Leon Agnew
"

A pretty poem for pretty times.

"

The clinic is busting

With fat teenage girls

With dumb, stupid parents

All looking for

Salvation

Soylent green

The freshest fruit

Of pregnancy

Is the miscarriage

Stillbirth

And in the back

They rip it out

Bloody fetus

Visceral sack

Meat and bones

Just barely alive

Grind it down

The screaming souls

Tear through the hearts

But still they roll

The bloody flesh

Into the dough

Mutilation

Sacrifice

Holy devil

Poison ice

But yet we consume it

Knowing the cost

We know the truth

But all is lost.
